Our emergency hours
Monday through Saturday: open 24 hours. Sunday: noon to midnight. Call (434) 297-3223. Kyle answers the phone and runs the calls himself, so you’re talking to the locksmith, not a call center that farms the job out.
House lockouts
Keys inside, door locked behind you, kids waiting to get in? We open most residential locks without damage using picking and bypass tools. If a lock is broken or a key snapped inside it, we can extract the key, repair the lock or replace it on the spot. If your keys were lost rather than locked in, consider rekeying while we’re there.
Car lockouts
Keys locked in the car at the grocery store, a trailhead or the office? We open cars, trucks and SUVs, and if the keys are actually lost, we can make a new one on-site. See car lockout service and car key replacement.
Business lockouts
Locked out of the shop at opening time, or a lock failed overnight? We get you in, and if the lock is the problem, we can repair or replace it with commercial-grade hardware. See commercial services.
After a break-in
If someone forced or tampered with your locks, we re-pin or replace damaged locks and check that the strike and frame still hold. Call the police first if there’s any chance someone is still inside.
How to avoid locksmith scams
Emergency lockouts are where unlicensed “locksmiths” prey on people. Protect yourself:
- Ask for the company name and Virginia DCJS license number when you call. Ours is #11-30826.
- Ask for a price before anyone heads your way, and be wary of quotes that sound too low.
- Be cautious when a business answers with a generic phrase like “locksmith services” instead of its name.
- Expect a legitimate locksmith to ask you for ID before opening a home or vehicle.
